Vellore Museum:

This museum was established on 6th September 1858 at Lutchaswamy townhall, and The government Museum was shifted to the fort in April 1999. It was set at an area of 5000 square feet, visitors would be delighted viewing the bronze double antenna sword that dates back to 400 Bc. The museum has eight galleries, a stone sculpture gallery, bronze gallery, zoology gallery, anthropology gallery, district gallery, anthropology gallery, coin gallery, and pre-history philately galley. Timing to visit the museum is 7:30 am to 9:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and it is open on the days.

Ratnagiri Murugan temple:

Ratnagiri Murugan temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan. People worship Lord Muruga in two forms one as lord Gurukollam and the other as lord Thirukollam, seen with his wives Valli and Devasena. this temple is located at top of the hill, the ancient Indian scripture says that where there is a hill there is Muruga. festivals at Ratnagiri, Adi Velli, Panguni Uttiram, Adi Kiruthigai, January 1, and Navaratri, Tamil Newyear. Timing to visit the Temple is 7:30 am to 9:00 pm, and it is open on the days.

Vellore Fort:

Vellore Fort is the most famous spot at Vellore, with splendid mosques, a holy temple, and an inspiring church are seen inside the fort. we can see all the religions in one place and this is considered to be an iconic fort. the captivating fort was built in the 14th century by the Vijayanagar empire and served as headquarter of the Aravidu dynasty. The control of the fort was passed over to the Bijapur sultan and to the Marathas. We can also see many public houses built inside the fort. the area of the Vellore fort covers 133 acres. The fort will be open from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm, there are no entry tickets for this fort. and the fort will be open all day.

Jalakandeswarar Temple:

Jalakandeswarar temple located at Vellore is dedicated to lord shiva. visitors are allowed by the eight feet high Dwarapalakas at the entrance. devotees can also worship the goddess mahishasura Mardini who appears in the temple tramping the demon under her feet. The temple has exquisite carvings on its gopuram, large wooden gates, richly carved stone pillars, stunning monoliths, and sculptures. This Jalakandeswarar temple is a fine example of Vijayanagaram architecture. The timing to visit the temple is 7:30 am to 9:30 pm.

Sripuram Golden Temple:

This temple is located in the small range of the green hill at Thirumalaikodi, and it is an 8-kilo meter distance from Vellore. The temple is located on 100 acres of land and constructed by the Vellore-based charitable trust.
It is located 120 kilometers from Tirupati, and 145 kilometers from Chennai. Maha Kumbhabishekam of the temple is its chief deity, Maha Lakshmi or Sri Lakshmi Narayani, which was been held on 24 august 2007. The temple is covered with 1500 kg of gold. timing to visit this temple is 7:30 am to 9:00 pm.
